Is there a minimum / maximum age for renting a vehicle with Europcar ?

In most countries, you must be aged 21 or over to rent a car and in any case have held a driving license for at least one year.

However, the age requirements may vary according to the country and to the vehicle category considered. For a better understanding related to your country of rental, you can find information in the Specific Terms and Conditions per country.

Spain	21 Years Old	Drivers under 25 yo. will be charged the young driver surcharge.	1 year
UK	22 years old to 75 years old	Drivers between 22 and 26 yo. will be charged the young driver surcharge.	1 year (except for rentals starting from Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton, Carmarthen, Pembroke, Aberystwyth and Llanelli when the full and valid license must have been held for a minimum of 2 years prior to picking up the vehicle

Young driver fees :

Lucky enough to be under 26? If so, a small Young Driver Surcharge may be applicable in some instances and depending on the country you are hiring the vehicle in. This information can be found in the Specific Terms per country and the rate.

For online bookings, this information will also be given to you automatically if you entered the site quoting your Europcar driver ID.
