The CUPRA Born automatically recognises the driver. With the Kessy advanced keyless locking and starting system. Further developed for the CUPRA Born. When the driver gets into the vehicle, comfort functions such as the air conditioning and seat heating are activated. The vehicle starts automatically when the brake pedal is pressed. No need to press a button. Engage gear. Drive off. When the driver leaves the vehicle at a standstill, the CUPRA Born switches off the engine automatically.
Car2X can be used to transmit information from and to other vehicles. The local hazard warning notifies other vehicles of important clues about a recognised hazard/situation. If a vehicle receives this information, it is processed and transmitted to the driver audiovisually.
Getting started

At Europcar we strive to make your car or van hire experience as simple as possible. Here we have put together various topics of useful information, advice and help related to your electric vehicle hire.

Step 1
Use the key to unlock the doors by pressing the unlock button. Or if the vehicle is equiped with the Keyless entry, you can simply tuch the door handle to open the vehicle.

The car is now unlocked, you can open the doors.

Pull the door handle to open the door.

The vehicle detects automatically the key so you simply need to press the brake pedal,

As this is an electric vehicle, don't be surprised by the absence of noise. A 'READY' indicator shows that the vehicle is ready to go.
Step 3
Keep the brake pedal pressed and select D (Drive) to move forward or R (Reverse) if you want to reverse using the gear selector. The gear selector is located behind the steering wheel on the right side attached to the dashboard.

Move the gear lever to the "D" (Drive) position to start driving.

You can now release the brake pedal. The car should start moving forward on its own. Then, gently press the accelerator to start driving.
Step 3
Drive the electric vehicle like a traditional car, using the accelerator pedal to accelerate and the brake pedal to decelerate or stop. Use Eco Driving mode to limit acceleration and heating, potentially gaining a minimum of 5% in range.
Step 1
When you are in a safe and appropriate parking spot, keep your foot on the brake and put the vehicle into 'Park' or 'P' mode using the button at the end of the gear selector. It will automaticallely turn off when you will go out from the vehicle and lock it.

Exit the vehicle and ensure that all doors are properly closed.

Press the button on the key to lock the vehicle.

The charging port is located on the rear left side of the vehicle.

Open the charging port and insert the charging connector.
Step 3
When charging is complete, unlock the vehicle, the cable will unlock. Gently pull the connector to remove it and store the cable. You can stop the charging at any time by unplugging the charging cable.
